JOB FUNCTION: Work with the athletic director, building principals and district staff to promote and facilitate an effective athletic program.
Duties & Responsibilities
Administers the school’s athletic program in the absence of the Athletic Director.
Provides leadership to the athletic department under the direction of the Athletic Director. Advocates for the proper place of athletics in the overall educational process.
Encourages the overall improvement of all athletic programs.
Collaborates and assists the athletic director and building principals in the supervision of athletic events.
Provides assistance for the organization and management of athletic events.
Collaborates with and assists the athletic director to assure compliance with rules and regulations of the Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA).
Assists the athletic director to administer Board policies related to athletics including the random drug testing policy for student athletes.
Addresses complaints and resolves problems under the direction of the Athletic Director and building administrator.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Principal and Athletic Director
Education And Experience
Three (3) years of successful classroom teaching, coaching, and/or athletic administration experience preferred.
