What You'll Contribute
Architecture Governance this role ensures that Sallie Mae's IT operations align with its goals and objectives. Here is the responsibility of the job description:
Monitoring and Compliance:
- CMDB Development and Deployment: This role will assist in the implementation of a CMDB and the deployment of the technology. They will also help ensure all proper policies and procedures are in place for reporting and monitoring in the use of this system.
- Regulations and Guidelines: This role will assist in the monitoring of our IT systems to ensure compliance with regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Strategy and Compliance: They will assist in validating that architectural decisions align with the organization's strategic direction.
- Governance Framework: The analyst will assist in the establishment and maintenance of the Sallie Mae Architecture Governance Framework that will reference the TOGAF framework.
- Architecture Review Board: This role will assist the in the coordination of the meeting and materials necessary for the operation of the ARB.
- Policies and Procedures: They assist in the creation and enforce governance policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Risk Identification: The analyst identifies risks related to architectural decisions.
- Mitigation Strategies: They propose strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Working closely with and ensure clear communication to enterprise architects, technology teams, and other stakeholders.
- Reporting: This role will assist in the generation weekly, monthly and annual reports on key metrics as defined by the CTO.
- KPI/Metrics: This role will assist in the ensuring that all metrics needed for reporting are being recorded accurately and timely to enable the above reporting.
- ARB: Assist in the development and communications of the ARB Reports and Deliverables
What You Have
Minimum: Indicate minimum education, skills and experience required.
- At least 2 years of experience in managing architecture and developing processes.
- Experience in developing enterprise architecture roadmaps and implementing technology solutions.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience in evaluating and adopting new technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
