Our Client is looking for an Associate Apparel Designer for to support their Men's Sportswear Category. This is an execution focused role where you will primarily assist with multiple projects and track multiple deliverables. Our Client is looking for someone who is highly organized with strong attention to detail. You will also support technical sketches and help fill in CAD bodies.
Day in The Life:
Assist in development of color and concept direction with Designer for specific classification responsibilities.
Sit in on fittings and keep notes, regroup and follow up on any design revisions needed.
Produce technical sketches based on designer brief and inspiration for new styles.
Fill CAD bodies, assist in building seasonal Line at a Glance document (LAAG).
Update and maintain LAAG and design tracking documents as needed, based on adds, revisions.
Request and follow up on lab dips and pattern work needs.
Assist in meeting prep, build boards, organize samples.
Aid in providing BOM (bill of materials) information to Technical Design for new / revised styles, per colorway.
Review all prototype samples for construction, silhouette, fit, and trim details.
Assist and execute product presentations.
Who You Are:
Apparel or fashion design degree or equivalent experience.
2+ years of related product design and development experience.
Proven design expertise within, or related to, the classification/category.
Proven ability to manage, coach and develop others.
Ability to sketch in Adobe Illustrator is required
Ability to produce CAD sketches
Experience in Flex PLM or PLM tools
