The Academic Designer, Advanced Placement, Science role at McGraw Hill is pivotal in shaping the educational landscape, empowering learners and educators globally. This position is remote and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. It will be filled as a project Status Worker (PSW) designation.

What you will be doing:

  • Write, edit, and work with a team to develop Advanced Placement and electives science programs.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop print and digital programs from inception to execution, leveraging expertise across disciplines.
  • Utilize external perspectives to enhance products and services, articulating customer needs to drive meaningful solutions.
  • Build bridges across teams and functions, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Serve as a mentor, offering constructive feedback and guidance to team members, nurturing their growth and development.
  • Foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and trust and appreciation thrive.
  • Drive talent management initiatives, ensuring current and future success through proactive growth and training plans.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market dynamics, leveraging external networks to inform strategic decisions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and colleagues, facilitating alignment and driving collective success.
  • Encourage a culture of creativity and experimentation, fostering an environment where new ideas flourish and are refined.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education with an emphasis in higher level science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology), AP Science teaching experience, or a related field.
  • Experience with writing or editing, educational materials, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

The pay range for this position is between $55,000-$80,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.  Additionally, a full range of medical and/or other benefits may be provided, depending on the position offered.
