The Assistant Women's Soccer Coach assists the Head Coach with all aspects of running the program. In addition, the assistant will teach the PE program and assist with administrative duties. This is a full-time, benefited position with a pay rate of $58,459.
The Essential Functions Of This Position Include The Following
Assist the Head Coach in performing all of the functions necessary to manage and direct the program. These functions include, but are not limited to:
Be accessible to and approachable by our students, communicating effectively with our students, recruiting (identifying, cultivating and yielding) prospective student-athletes,
Teaching and coaching the sport, managing the roster, planning, scheduling and reserving space for all team activity (practices, games, workouts and meetings), team travel (itinerary, meals, hotels and transportation)
Monitoring academic and social activity of student-athletes, communicating with parents and alumni
Selection and purchasing of equipment and uniforms.
Strict adherence to and complete understanding of NESCAC and NCAA rules is essential.
Teach in the Physical Education Program. Every student at Hamilton must successfully complete three activity classes, a fitness assessment and a swim test as part of their requirements.
Assist the department with administrative tasks as needed and assigned by the Director of Athletics or any member of the department’s administrative team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and experience coaching and/or playing at the intercollegiate level is required. Evening, morning and weekend work is necessary. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license. A successful background check is necessary.
