Assistant Soccer Coach

Overview

Mount Marty is pleased to accept applications for an exempt, full-time Assistant Soccer Coach. This position will report to the Head Men's and Women's Soccer Coach, and the Athletic Director. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coaches with practice preparation, scouting, recruiting, scheduling of games, and other various athletic activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review of the program and student athlete achievement for improvement of coaching methods and procedures.
  • Complete the NAIA Coaching with Character exercise on a yearly basis.
  • Sustain a roster of high quality and competency.
  • Maintenance of official athletic documentation.
  • Represent the university at appropriate community and sporting events.
  • Assignments issued by the head coach which may include but are not limited to:
    • Recruiting student athletes
    • Scouting games
    • Practice preparation
    • Transportation arrangements
    • Updating statistics
    • Scheduling of games and practices
    • Potential driving of athletes/team to functions or competitions
  • Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing clinic(s), summer camp(s), and on-campus tryouts.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Women’s Soccer Coach and Athletic Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Experience in coaching and playing soccer
  • Commitment to the mission of Mount Marty University
