We are currently seeking an accomplished and motivated full-time Assistant Project Manager to bolster our core construction team in the seamless execution of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and prompt management of all paperwork and coordination for assigned projects including but not limited to permitting, insurance, project logs and project punchlist.
  • Active participation in internal team/client meetings such as project kick-off, status meetings and weekly construction meetings.
  • Track submission and responses of submittals/RFIs from the design team.
  • Timely distribution and monitoring progress of drawings/sketches, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and punchlists to subcontractor and JEF team members, ensuring project schedule is upheld. 
  • Early identify and proactive escalation of potential challenges to core construction team.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Prior experience working for a commercial general contractor is preferred.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, determination, and self-motivation with an aptitude for meticulous record-keeping.
  • Skilled in effectively managing various tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Exemplary time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications is preferred but not required.

Computer Systems

  • Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Preferred: MS Project, Procore and Timberline

Salary Information

  • To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the annual salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000.
