Notre Dame of Maryland University's School of Education is growing due to its program offerings and recognition as one of the largest providers of certified teachers in the State. The school offers State and CAEP-accredited programs ranging from baccalaureate to doctoral level.
The School of Education is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor with academic preparation in higher education and research methods to begin July 1, 2024. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to teach higher education and methodology classes, emphasizing strategic planning, data-informed leadership, and the commitment to transform lives through education. The faculty member should be available for classes taught on and off campus, day, evening, and online courses. This position carries a 7-unit teaching load (7 classes) and expectations for scholarship and service consistent with the rank of Assistant Professor. Teaching, scholarship, and service are requirements for tenure and promotion. Support for the methodology work of the School's PhD students is also required.
The qualified candidate will have an earned doctorate, prior college teaching experience, expertise in higher education and research methodology, a publication history appropriate for the Assistant Professor rank, and online education experience.
