The Part-Time Assistant Production Manager will assist the Production Manager with the logistical and administrative tasks associated with the company’s productions. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be flexible, proactive, and committed to ensuring the smooth operation of our theater productions.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Support
  • Logistical Planning: Assist in planning and executing logistical aspects of productions, including scheduling, coordination, and resource allocation.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Order and deliver equipment and supplies for all departments reporting to the Production Manager. Must have a valid driver's license for transportation duties.
  • Venue Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the Turner Theater during rental weeks and the Studio Tenn office.
Administrative Support
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, equipment inventory, and other relevant documents.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between production teams, artists, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Budget Assistance: Assist with budget tracking and expense management for production-related activities.
Event Coordination
  • On-Site Management: Provide on-site support during productions, rehearsals, and events, ensuring all logistics are managed efficiently.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery and setup of necessary production elements.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or emergencies that arise during productions in collaboration with the Production Manager.
General Responsibilities
  • Attendance: Maintain regular and reliable attendance, including flexible hours as needed for production schedules.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.


Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in theater production or related fields is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in theater production or a related role is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Other: Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
