Qualifications

• PA Secondary Principal Certification or PA Principal K-12 Certification
• Excellent leadership, instructional and managerial skills
• Demonstrated ability in improving student achievement
• Extensive knowledge of PA curriculum standards
• Previous experience in school leadership functions, instructional strategies and team building
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Prior building-level administrative experience preferred
  
  

Responsibilities

As an educational leader at the high school level, the Assistant Principal is charged with the development and maintenance of a successful educational program consistent with contemporary practice and as mandated by PA curriculum standards. The individual will represent the school at appropriate school and community activities, participate in staff selection, complete staff evaluations, supervise building-level support services, handle student discipline and assist in preparing the building level budget. The individual will also assist with the overall operations of the building both fiscally and managerially. Successful candidates will work with other members of the administrative/supervisory team in providing a complete and visionary educational program.
