SPEED is a legal public entity, governed by an operating committee composed of school district superintendents and a governing board of elected school board members.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as an Assistant Principal in SPEED S.E.J.A. District 802 located in Chicago Heights, IL. The Assistant Principal will be responsible for assisting the principal in supervising student activities, managing staff, implementing educational programs, and ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment. The Assistant Principal will also provide support in curriculum development, teacher evaluations, and school improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Experience in education administration and leadership
Knowledge of special education programs and practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate with staff, students, and parents
Understanding of educational laws, policies, and regulations
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Master's degree in Education or related field
Administrative certification or license
