Assistant Plant Manager

Large well-established manufacturer seeking an Assistant Plant Manager for a swing shift opportunity.

(MUST BE OPEN TO 3PM-2AM SCHEDULE, WITH FLEXIBILITY)

Role: Manage plant operations efficiently and safely under the Plant Manager and Division General Manager’s guidance.

Responsibilities:

Ensure facility operations comply with all laws and regulations.

Direct and guide plant staff to meet performance goals.

Control plant costs by reviewing financial reports and suggesting cost reduction measures.

Assist in hiring, guiding, and disciplining plant personnel.

Ensure adherence to company policies, including quality control and safety regulations.

Address production problems, implement remedies, and keep management informed.

Manage plant maintenance activities and labor force.

Review various reports and make recommendations to improve productivity and financial results.

Promote safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.

Notify management about changes in raw material quality and quantity.

Maintain professional and ethical interaction with others.

Perform other duties as assigned for efficient business operation.

Requirements:

2-3 years of supervisory experience.

3-5 years of industrial plant experience (rendering plant experience is a plus).

Knowledge of CMPAF, FSMA, and APPI procedures (preferred).

Ability to work at night and on a flexible schedule

Basic electrical and plumbing repair skills.

Strong organizational skills and moderate to advanced computer skills.

Proficiency in English (bilingual is a plus).
