Job Duties
Teach a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate courses in mining engineering, from introductory to advanced mine design.
Develop and maintain a research program within the field.
Provide student advising, participate in recruiting efforts, engage in service activities, and foster industry relations.
Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Mining Engineering or a related Engineering discipline by the position start date; OR
Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field, with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching at the college level.
Relevant work experience in mining or related industries.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
MSHA approved instructor or ability to obtain certification.
Physical Demands
Ability to carry 30 pounds up a flight of stairs.
