Job Description
As a member of our faculty, you will have the opportunity to teach a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate mining courses, from introductory to advanced levels, encompassing topics such as mine design. We encourage the development of a robust research program alongside teaching responsibilities. Additionally, you will engage in student advising, recruitment, service, and foster industry relations.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Mining Engineering or related Engineering discipline by the position start date OR
Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level
Relevant work experience in mining or related industries
Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication
MSHA approved instructor or willingness to obtain certification
Physical Demands
Ability to carry 30 pounds up a flight of stairs
