Assistant Operations Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in low volume, complex, electro-mechanical businesses, specifically within the engineering-focused repair sector. The successful candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager and play a key role in overseeing our operations, ensuring that all resources align with production and budget requirements while adapting to technical and personnel changes.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations and ensure optimal resource allocation to meet production and budget targets.
• Manage an initial team of 6-10 people, with potential growth to oversee approximately 60 staff members.
• Implement and adapt operational strategies to enhance efficiency and meet organizational goals.
• Maintain proficiency with essential tools and software, including ERP systems (Epicor preferred), Microsoft Office Products including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and scheduling software.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in a low volume, complex, electro-mechanical business, preferably in the engineering repair sector.
• A Technical degree preferred (Engineering/Mechanical/Electronics).
• Project management experience (launching new products/programs)
• Demonstrated leadership ability and a track record of managing and scaling teams effectively.
  
  

Career Path:

The position is designed as a developmental role with the expectation to advance to the Operations Manager position within two years.

Will also consider an experienced Operations Manager, if qualifications match our needs.
