Base salary is $55-57,000, Bonuses are discretionary based on division performance

Black Flower Agency, a NYC-based experiential marketing and events agency, and a key United States business unit of global company MCI Group (www.mci-group.com), is interviewing highly organized, energetic and hospitality experienced self-starting candidates with a strong understanding of events, creative asset development, and the luxury lifestyle sector to fulfill a Junior Marketing and Events Coordinator role.

This position will work with the account team and senior leadership to help develop and build creative assets (decks, presentations, client pitches, event logos, event collateral, etc.). The role will also work with a team that delivers on a loyalty marketing program that provides exclusive premium experiences to the brand’s most VIP consumers in various verticals including sports, entertainment, fashion, art, and wellness. Additionally, the role will oversee general administrative and office duty tasks.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and build creative presentations, decks, and client pitches alongside senior management. Must have ability to work within templates, as well as create custom decks with precise formatting and styling.
  • Drive day-to-day support (event/administrative) to internal team as needed, including but not limited to crafting meeting agendas and recap notes, client reports, daily event sales tracking, weekly status reports, agency newsletters, and deliverables trackers
  • Leads logistical event related responsibilities including but not limited to: research, logistics planning, vendor sourcing and outreach, proposal development, training material development, ticketing setups, registration materials, event informational material, guest list management, post event reporting, event collateral production
  • Oversee overall management of office and event supply inventory, shipping, packing, and organization
  • Responsible for event recaps and ensuring all relevant metrics and data are documented
  • Partner with event managers on marketing submissions through the entire approval process with the understanding of client and local market rules and regulations for legal compliance and creative governance
  • Assist with basic financial processes including coding expenses, submitting invoices, and tracking payments
  • Participate on client conference calls and in-person client meetings
  • On-site event support when needed, ensuring service is impeccable and adhere to best practices standard
  • Monitor and research industry trends, innovations, and competitive landscape; provide recommendations and suggestions for improvements and/or areas of opportunity
  • Maintain knowledge of agency structure and functions, utilizing resources appropriately and efficiently
  • Build full knowledge of agency’s offerings, mission, and vision
  • Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams
  • All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • 1+ years of relevant professional experience preferred. Strong internship experience considered.
  • Strong presentation/ deck creation and development skills (i.e. Canva, Google Slides, PowerPoint)
  • Passion for events, hospitality, luxury lifestyle sectors, and digital marketing and/or strategic communications. Interest/ knowledge in luxury fashion, culture entertainment, wellness, or sports is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills – MAC proficient; Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required); fluent in Photoshop and InDesign; Canva/ Google Slides proficiency required
  • This position may be client and high net-worth individual consumer facing on-site at events, and requires strong hospitality skills
  • Ability to interact in a collaborative manner

Technical Skills
