Assistant Manager of Product Development- Beauty

Our client, a beauty brand is looking for an Assistant Manager of Product Development.

This position is fully on-site in Van Nuys, CA.

Salary: $60K FT

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute new product launches from concept to finished goods, with a strong focus on project management, timeline management, cost management and formulation direction.
• Manage individual product P&Ls to ensure profitability of each new launch.
• Maintain solid relationships and effectively manage communication with external partners – primarily labs and raw material suppliers.
• Gather, organize and report details on product development process on an ongoing basis with internal and external teams.
• Facilitate cross functional team collaboration with regard to componentry, sourcing, design and manufacturing.
• Assist in competitive market research; develop branding and new product strategies.
• Work with creative team to ensure timely delivery of artwork to printers and mocks/comps to retail accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience
• 2+ years of beauty related professional experience
• Proven project management skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities
• Proactive and enthusiastic personality with the ability to work well both individually and in team environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint Social media and tech savvy
