Assistant General Manager

Assistant to the Director of Operations, managing the resort operation for the Tween waters Island Resort & Spa, by maintaining established cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees and exceeding guest expectations.

Requirements

Responsible for successfully managing as the Assistant General Manager to the resort operations department heads and assisting where necessary (in the areas of Housekeeping, Front Office, Marina & Coffee Shop) while providing outstanding guest service.

Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of each department. Ensures that standards and procedures are being followed. The position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the resort property. Ensures that standards and procedures are being followed, leading the department heads and staff, while assisting with meeting, or exceeding, property goals.

Able to set priorities, plan, organize and delegate. Demonstrate written communication skills that are concise, well organized, complete and clear. Be proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word. Ability to work effectively under time constraints and to deadlines.

Proven experience and knowledge of hotel operations, including security and safety programs, personnel relations, general repairs and maintenance, quality assurance programs and long-range planning. Able to manage effectively, multi-task and have excellent organizational and inter-personal skills.

2+ years of Hospitality Management experience required
