Assistant General Counsel, Healthcare

I'm partnered with an established hospital system headquartered outside of the DFW metroplex. They are seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus in commercial contracts to join their legal team. This role reports directly to the General Counsel, with opportunity for growth and advancement with a successful healthcare organization.

*This role is open to remote candidates with expectations of travel.*

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and draft a variety of corporate and commercial contracts including hospital service and GPO agreements, business associate agreements, vendor and supplier agreements, NDAs, IT agreements, research agreements, consulting, employment, and independent contractor agreements.
• Assist with contract management, reporting, expirations, approvals, renewals, non-renewals, extensions, and amendments.
• Provide advice and counsel to support department leads, customers, vendor representatives, contracting personnel, and senior management in policy and procedure development, compliance, and data protection.
• Knowledge of healthcare and HIPAA/GDPR (data privacy and protection) law

Qualifications:

• JD from an established institution
• 5+ years of experience with commercial transactions
• Experience with a hospital or other healthcare services preferred
