Assistant Fashion Designer

The Assistant Designer will join a team of passionate and energetic creative individuals working towards designing each collection to be the best representation of the brand. The ideal candidate will be a highly energetic, organized, efficient self-starter that enjoys and works well with cross functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating sketches, CADs Tech Packs, Construction Detail Pages
  • Create and maintain BOMs
  • Hand off tech packs to vendors
  • Hand off seasonal prints to vendor / prints and strike off comment
  • Create and keep line sheets and design board accurate and up to date based on fittings and design meetings
  • Attend all fittings and keep detailed notes for design updates
  • Assist in all meeting prep
  • Help maintain sample, technique, strike offs organization in design room
  • Work closely with cross functional teams throughout the process
  • Adhere to time and action calendar with sense of urgency while being creative
  • Contribute positively to team dynamics and assist wherever possible
  • Ability to follow through on tasks assigned to you
  • Other duties as assigned and needed



Skills:

  • Possess ability to sketch and CAD design details and knowledge of garment construction as needed by Designer
  • Strong understanding of application of fabrications and an assortment of trims
  • Able to clearly communicate silhouettes and detailed garment construction through tech pack creation and CADS
  • Familiarity with tech pack and BOM creation
  • Knowledgeable and consistently up-to-date with market/runway trends and good understanding of the Cleobella customer
  • Strong knowledge of design details and interior garment construction
  • Self-motivated, positive and dependable attitude
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Effective time management and ability to stay organized
  • Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment



Qualifications:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel is a must
  • Advanced visual and written communication skills
  • Some to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories
  • Background in product development is a plus


Please note, this position is located in Huntington Beach, California. We are not considering remote candidates at this time.
