Position Overview:

Housing Resources Inc (HRI), a growing nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families purchase their own homes, has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Assistant Executive Director to provide professional expertise and support to the Executive Director and supervise HRI managers and lead staff. This position oversees data collection efforts; assists in fundraising initiatives; and identifies and implements program improvements. The AED will play an integral role in developing goals and plans to meet the organization’s goals and objectives.


Overall responsibilities would include:

  • Supports the Executive Director in short and long range planning and creating work plan necessary to implement the organizations goals and objectives and report outs
  • Assists in preparing and managing budgets for program and services needs and with organizational accounting activities
  • Provides administrative support to the executive director including planning, research, communications, personnel, recordkeeping, and bookkeeping (as needed)
  • Assists the Executive Director in identifying, researching and applying for grants and new funding opportunities; tracking donors; and completing grant reporting
  • Supervises the work activities of the agency’s managers and lead staff to ensure work and client services expectations are being met
  • Assists the Executive Director in recruiting and hiring new employees
  • Works with managers to prepare and present performance evaluations on an annual basis.
  • Coach and train the management staff.
  • Identifies coaching and training needs for management staff
  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of HRI’s programs and services.
  • Maintains and enhances the effectiveness and integrity of programs and services
  • Oversees data collection and quality compliance for programs
  • Responds to unique or difficult client or vendor questions regarding the programs
  • Works in conjunction with managers to research and develop new programs to meet community needs
  • Keeps abreast of housing and home ownership trends and advises the Executive Director of new trends and opportunities in the community
  • Develops and builds relationships and partnerships in the community to promote HRI services and conduct training to increase awareness about HRI
  • Assists in the development of program marketing strategies
  • Coordinates the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and satellite offices and evaluates business procedures
  • Oversees and manages the training programs and evaluates their effectiveness and makes changes as appropriate
  • Maintains knowledge of organizational policies and procedures and federal and state policies and directives
  • Oversees and assists in the coordination of the organization’s special events and fundraisers
  • Performs other duties as may be requested by the Executive Director and/or Board.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)


Experience:

  • relevant: 10 years (Preferred)
  • Management: 5 years (Preferred)
