Assistant Director of Campus Ministry and Admin for Mission Integration

Occupational Summary:

The Assistant Director of Campus Ministry (80%) and Administrative Assistant for Mission Integration (20%), assists in providing well developed programs, events, opportunities, and other support related to our Catholic Mission.

Stewardship Statement:

This position is responsible for cultivating and maintaining the institution's Catholic identity and its mission to empower graduates to transform society. As a member of the Newman community, the staff member will join with the institution's sponsors, the Adorers of the Blood of Christ (ASC Sisters), to witness God's love in Mission to empower others, foster oneness, celebrate life, form right relationships, and walk as compassionate companions. Additionally, this position contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other faiths, cultures, or backgrounds.

Work Performed:

  • Function as person of first contact and manage the daily operations of the Campus Ministry office
  • Help coordinate the events and activities sponsored by Campus Ministry
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and supervision of student ministers
  • Manage chapel supplies and assist in planning special Masses
  • Assist in the planning and development of strategies designed to reach campus ministry goals
  • Provide administrative assistance for the Director of Mission Integration
  • Provide support for mission integration events and programs
  • Manage record keeping for ASC scholar service hours
  • Complete all University-required trainings including Title IX and FERPA
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Campus Ministry and Mission Integration by performing all other duties as assigned and appropriate to the position

Applicant Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Understanding of and commitment to Catholic faith
  • Experience with youth ministry preferred.
  • Experience supervising student workers helpful
  • Excellent intrapersonal and communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
