Position: Assistant Commercial Loan Officer

Location: 100% Remote (must be able to travel within the Eugene, Medford, and Portland markets regularly)

Status: Full-time, Regular, Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $29.39/hour - $44.09/hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

About The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Commercial Loan Officer to support our Commercial Lending team. This role involves working closely with Commercial Loan Officers to facilitate new loan requests and manage existing portfolios. You may also manage some relationships as the primary loan officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with existing business members, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned relationships.
  • Support Commercial Loan Officers with new relationships and act as a secondary loan officer on specific accounts.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and direct members to additional services and products.
  • Assist with departmental sales calls and efforts.
  • Perform due diligence for pre-underwriting, including initial review of financial, entity, legal, and other documents.
  • Review loan documentation for accuracy and proper execution.
  • Develop action plans for deteriorating credit relationships.
  • Write, coordinate, and review property inspections and commercial real estate evaluations.
  • Provide excellent member service and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulation changes.
  • Serve as a point of contact for audits, ensuring satisfactory results.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors and keep management informed of any issues or opportunities.
  • Complete required compliance training annually.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (GED equivalent).
  • Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • RMA Lending Certifications.

Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of commercial lending and deposit procedures, financial statement analysis, credit approval/annual review memos, and loan documentation.
  • Understanding of lending regulations.
  • High standards in documentation accuracy, thoroughness, and completeness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to determine and meet members' needs.
  • Ability to interpret and explain policies and transactions to members professionally.
  • Organizational skills to handle member requests promptly and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency with office machines and data processing systems.
