Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer (UPDATED) (Multiple Positions)

The University of Arizona invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Women’s Soccer. The position reports to the Head Coach, Women’s Soccer and acts within the rules and regulations of the University, Conference, and NCAA. Incumbent will perform on-field coaching, recruiting and liaison with department support services.

This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist head coach with facilitating the academic and athletic development of every soccer student-athlete
  • Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Conference and the NCAA
  • Train non-travel team when not on travel status
  • Implement individual development plans (IDP’s)
  • Coaching student-athletes at all practices and games
  • Running split training sessions at home
  • Work cooperatively and provide positive energy as a member of the staff
  • Recruit qualified student-athletes
  • Coordinate and advance recruiting, alumni, and community relations
  • Perform video analysis and opponent scouting
  • Work closely with the compliance office to assure the program follows University, Conference and NCAA regulations
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Coaching experience at the college or club level
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
  • Experience and knowledge of NCAA rules
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Proven track record of success in the sport
  • Coaching licenses (USSF, NSCAA, UEFA, FA)
  • Practical experience in video analysis and Sportscode/Hudl
