The University of Arizona invites applications for the full-time position of Assistant Coach, Women’s Soccer. The position reports to the Head Coach, Women’s Soccer and acts within the rules and regulations of the University, Conference, and NCAA. Incumbent will perform on-field coaching, recruiting and liaison with department support services.
The Athletics Department is dedicated to excellence in collegiate sports, building a modern model of intercollegiate athletics fostering a culture of integrity, innovation, and student-athlete success.
This position requires the ability work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, and travel for competition and recruiting.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist head coach with facilitating the academic and athletic development of every soccer student-athlete
- Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes within the guidelines of the Conference and the NCAA
- Train non-travel team when not on travel status
- Implement individual development plans (IDP’s)
- Coaching student-athletes at all practices and games
- Running split training sessions at home
- Work cooperatively and provide positive energy as a member of the staff
- Recruit qualified student-athletes
- Coordinate and advance recruiting, alumni, and community relations
- Perform video analysis and opponent scouting
- Work closely with the compliance office to assure the program follows University, Conference and NCAA regulations
- Additional duties as assigned
- Commitment to academic and athletic success
- Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
- Possess a working knowledge of NCAA, Conference and University of Arizona rules
- Ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
- Dedication and motivation to initiate, lead and support value-added projects
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and has a positive demeanor
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to plan, establish priorities and successfully manage multiple priority projects
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relations
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, and project a positive, professional attitude
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Coaching experience at the college or club level
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
- Experience and knowledge of NCAA rules
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends and travel as needed
- Master’s Degree
- Proven track record of success in the sport
- Coaching licenses (USSF, NSCAA, UEFA, FA)
- Practical experience in video analysis and Sportscode/Hudl

- Describe your knowledge of NCAA and Pac-12 Conference rules and regulations relating to academics, satisfactory progress, and eligibility.
- Please list below any experience you have had since 2015 with high school or college student-athletes. This includes working or volunteering in any capacity with a high school, AAU, sports club, junior college or 4-year institution student-athlete, athletics team or department.
