Position Summary
The Assistant Branch Manager provides back up coverage to Branch locations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He/she is responsible for the daily operations of the store, including customer service, cash control, and inventory control as well as handling Vendor Managed Inventory within an assigned territory.
Essential Functions
Provide premier customer service, face-to-face, and via telephone
Respond to customer complaints and comments
Promotes the organization on a local level
Maintains an awareness of market trends in the area and industry, understanding customer initiatives and monitoring local competitors’ activities
Initiates changes to improve business
Telephone prospecting
Suggests promotions
Suggests and executes marketing events
Interacts with key account managers, territory managers, and outside sales reps as necessary to meet customer service goals
Keeps the store clean, orderly, and safe for customers and employees
Displays merchandise attractively
Rotating end caps
Restocks merchandise
Removes trash
Vendor Managed Inventory
Overnight travel 25-40%.
Performs other duties as requested by manager

The majority of the day is spent standing or walking. There is opportunity for sitting periodically during the course of the work day.
Some lifting is required, usually not in excess of 50 pounds.
Education
2 year degree in Business, Engineering Technology or Marketing or 2+ years successful retail experience preferably within motion control or fluid power.
