This part-time position (1000 hours maximum) aids in planning, budgeting, organizing, recruiting and maintaining a well-balanced, competitive basketball program. Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.
Responsibilities
Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of conducting a NCAA Division II basketball program
Attend all practices and games.
Assist in the recruitment of student athletes.
Assist with team fund raising activities.
Assist with monitoring academic progress of student-athletes.
Integrate the core values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice and service in all aspects of interaction.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.
Coaching experience at the college or high school level preferred.
Basketball playing experience at the college level preferred.
Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations; must pass Coaches Certification Test.
First Aid & CPR/AED certified (training provided if needed)
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Effective October 1, 2021, proof of vaccination or submission of weekly COVID-19 tests are required for all Georgian Court employees.
