At The Killer Brownie® Co., Production is vital to our success, and as the Assistant Production Manager, you will play an important role in cultivating and developing this stellar team. In addition to hiring, training, and managing the Production team, you will be responsible for managing the production schedule, handling ingredients, and monitoring the quality of products. You’ll be the team leader we need to keep Production running smoothly all day long!
What you'll do:
Maintain high performance, continuous improvement, and commitment to high-quality products
Strive to achieve daily production goals
Assist in maintaining and recording accurate and legible daily SQF documentation
Assist in maintaining, cleaning, and organizing production and related work areas
Assist in the receiving of ingredients, FIFO, and reading allergen labels
Assist in proper storage and labeling of ingredients
Assist in managing existing production processes with an eye for improvement and efficiency
Assist in managing production equipment, maintenance, and repairs
Assist in training, managing, and developing the Production team and all supporting teams
Assist and prepare production schedules and timelines
Assist in maintaining an efficient and safe work environment by reporting/taking action on any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
Promote a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards
Safely operate all equipment, ovens and machinery on production floor
Understand and adhere to production instructions as documented on Killer Brownie® recipes and other related documents
Monitor Production to reduce food waste
Continuously monitor quality and consistency of products
Learn Oracle based inventory system
Complete the Production team schedule and daily scheduling charts
Review Production schedule with Operations Manager and plan accordingly
Interview/hire/train new Production team members
Conduct informational and motivational team huddles
Communicate, when necessary, with other KB Managers (Warehouse managers, Scheduling manager, QA manager, Packaging manager) in a professional manner to ensure product and plan is in place for day
Coordinate and report day to day activities to the Operations Manager
Assume roles and responsibilities of the Operations Manager when they are absent
