Serve as Assistant Technical Director for 5 theatrical productions on 2 stages
Attend all Stage Crew Calls (Mon. - Fri, 3:15- TBD) as well as occasional Saturday Calls. Typically 10-14 hours a week per season.
Supervise and ensure that all student crews are properly trained in operation of equipment and tools and use appropriate personal protective equipment during all work calls
Work with Production Management to ensure all shows are completed within deadlines and budgets
Attend and participate in production and department head meetings
Attend Tech Week Rehearsals and Performances
Coordinate run crew staffing and schedule for all shows with Production Management
Set-Up and Maintain Clear-Com & Hollyland Intercom Systems
Perform day-to-day maintenance on main theatre systems (shop, rigging, lighting and sound instruments), and notify Auditorium Manager about major maintenance and upgrade needs
Work with the Auditorium Manager to identify routine and strategic improvements to theatre spaces and systems
In absence of the Auditorium Manager, oversee maintenance and installation crews (both in-house and from outside vendors)
Ensure all theatre spaces are kept clean and orderly
Safety
Emphasize safety practices and procedures for all persons in the theatre spaces (audience, performers, and technical crews), including issues of fire safety, overcrowding, and materials and tools usage)
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years professional Technical Theatre experience or equivalent
Advanced skills in Sound Design, mixing and engineering, including creation and acquisition of sound and music effects; experience setting up, engineering and maintaining wireless mic systems; proficiency mixing musicals using digital consoles required. Familiarity with Qlab preferred.
