Position Description

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Mathematics seeks applicants for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor position to teach mathematics courses that supports the 2+2 Program and the Purple Pathways Program, starting in August 2024. The successful candidate will teach a full semester section of the online (methods) course MATH 3203 Teaching Mathematics in the Elementary School for the 2+2 Program and a half-semester online section of the (methods) course ELSPED 3203 Teaching Mathematics in the Elementary School for the UNI Purple Pathways Program. This position is eligible to be performed remotely within the state of Iowa. Employees approved for remote work must comply with the requirements of our remote work policy and agreement.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in elementary education with a mathematics background or related discipline from an accredited institution required.

Required Qualifications

Online teaching experience required.

Desirable Qualifications

At least three years of experience teaching methods courses at the college level preferred.
