Assistant Activity Director Responsibilities

  • As an assistant activity director, you will assist your activity director with the implementation of activity initiatives for residents at your nursing home.
  • You will assist with scheduling events that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional health.
  • You will provide consistent supervision of activity aides, their duties, documentation and work habits.
  • You will help all your residents engage in a meaningful way that promotes well-being and social cohesion.

Requirements

Assistant Activity Director Qualifications:

  • Experience in nursing home activities, required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Valid and current activity director certification.
  • Excellent empathetic and interpersonal skills.
