Assistant Account Executive

Momentum Communications Group is seeking public relations professionals to join our growing team of award-winning nonprofit PR specialists, either at the Account Coordinator (AC) or Assistant Account Executive (AAE) level. At the Account Coordinator level, individuals are expected to have knowledge of social media, including copywriting and design of content, as well as media relations, including research, media list building, writing and pitching. Account Coordinators will also perform administrative duties while growing their public relations skills. Candidates should have at least some relevant professional or internship experience and be very comfortable using social media. At the Assistant Account Executive level, individuals should have at least one year of relevant professional experience and be able to hit the ground running with all social media and media relations responsibilities mentioned above

Regardless of level, the ideal candidate is a good writer, has some social media experience (ideally including the use of Canva), and has experience or an interest in nonprofit, social impact work.

The salary range for Account Coordinator starts at $45,000/year.

The salary range for Assistant Account Executive starts at $50,000/year.


Both are full-time, salaried, and hybrid positions with full benefits.

About Momentum:

We work with nationally recognized nonprofits who make a difference in social justice, youth development, education, health, the arts and more. Our team is on the frontlines helping our clients build awareness and influence through the press, social media, digital marketing and events.


Responsibilities:


  • Social media copywriting, design, scheduling and community management
  • Research news and trends to support clients
  • Monitoring, research and analysis of media
  • Media lists development
  • Media relations writing and pitching
  • Press clipping
  • Participation in agency meetings and brainstorms
  • General account support


Position Qualifications: Applicants should have 6-12 months of internship experience at a PR agency or with a nonprofit organization to be considered for the AC level. Applicants for the AAE level should have 1-2 years of experience. We are looking for smart, creative, self-motivated, detail-oriented, forward-thinking individuals interested in growing their public relations skills. Candidates must have excellent communication and writing skills. The position offers excellent opportunities for growth and advancement with competitive salary and benefits.
