Supervisor: Asset Manager


Job Summary: As an Asset Management Analyst at Compatriot, you will provide analytical support to the asset management team, assisting in the monitoring and optimization of the performance of Compatriot’s diversified real estate portfolio. You will be involved in various aspects of asset management, including financial analysis, reporting, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of Compatriot strategies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support to asset managers by preparing and maintaining financial models, conducting market research, and performing data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to optimize the existing real estate portfolio.
  • Coordinate with asset managers and portfolio managers to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies on stabilized assets.
  • Support the coordination of asset valuations and appraisals.
  • Perform site visits as required to assess property conditions and performance.
  • Collect, review, and catalog reports, financial statements, and other materials from portfolio companies according to established procedures.
  • Identify and flag material deviations from business plans or projections for senior management.
  • Assist in creating detailed financial projections for individual assets and the portfolio.
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management.
  • Support the review of property level budgets and incorporation into the annual Compatriot plan for submission to Sammons.
  • Help establish scalable processes and procedures for the portfolio management and asset management functions.
  • Assist in the implementation of a data strategy and platform for the Compatriot portfolio.
  • Assist in ongoing asset management activities, including evaluating operator and property performance compared to underwriting and ensuring business plan execution.
  • Collaborate with property management partners, insurance brokers, lending partners, brokers, tax consultants, and attorneys to provide direction for and oversight of business plans, budgets, forecasts, leases, analysis, and approvals.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed to address operational or capital issues and identify new opportunities to increase property value.


Education and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with strong record of academic achievement; graduate degree a plus.
  • 1-5 years of real estate/finance or consulting experience a plus.
  • Strong financial, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects in team settings.
  • Proficient in Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and willingness to adopt new technologies leveraged across the company’s portfolio.
  • High level of initiative, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to work across teams.
  • Ability to travel overnight for property inspections and site visits.
  • Availability to perform work in the corporate office (located in Dallas, Texas) up to five (5) days per week.
