Art Supervisor/Visual Designer

Description

  • Build compelling brand-right experiences for Retail and Digital.
  • Creates and supervises the visual creation of print, TV, digital and collateral material; supervises others and may have direct client contact.
  • Have a strong understanding of print best practices including color, layout, typography and file handoff process.
  • Create window clings, PDFs, sales rep sales tools, billboards, digital display, storyboards for videos, and other tasks as designated by Creative Director.
  • Champion human-centered design.
  • Enhance design by improving usability, accessibility, innovation, and interaction.
  • Work independently and proactively.
  • Present your team's work thoroughly and thoughtfully to the Creative Director and senior leadership.
  • Communicate standard methodologies for design and reasoning behind design decisions.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years relevant experience required.
  • Must be knowledgeable of end-to-end print process including pre-press, colors, bleeds/crops, as well as expert with Adobe InDesign.
  • Digital design experience a plus (XD, Figma)
  • Works well under pressure, can deliver on steep timelines, and always keep an eye on the larger narrative.
  • You can take a brief or a conversation and turn it into an idea.
  • You know when to collaborate with other designers and copywriters.
  • Preferred Print experience, focused on production and high-volume resizing of graphic assets.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
