Since launching in 2013, the brand has continued to grow and evolve with an extensive offering of unique, hand-crafted sun and optical frames designed in New Orleans and crafted with the utmost attention to detail. In addition to 4 brick & mortar locations, 12 “Tiny House” concept stores, and a robust ecommerce business, the brand is also available at many notable independent and major retailers such as Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Shopbop.

KREWE’s unique approach to eyewear has created a cult-following amongst consumers and influencers alike. Our frames have appeared in publications from GQ to VOGUE and on celebrities such as Beyonce, Gigi Hadid, Meghan Markle, Kris Jenner, Hailey Bieber, and Scott Disick, among others.

The Art Director will play a pivotal role in helping to shape the visual identity and creative direction of the KREWE brand. The ideal candidate has an exceptional track record of developing exceptional creative across the entire marketing funnel, as well as robust experience leading, growing, and inspiring a team of creatives.

This individual will oversee photography, video, digital assets, social media, print and OOH, and 360 cross-channel campaign marketing. This role will report directly to the VP of Brand Marketing and partner closely on ideating, concepting, and executing creative campaigns & marketing across all channels. You will work in a fast-paced, creative environment that offers an opportunity to be part of building a rapidly growing brand. This role will be based at KREWE’s secondary headquarters in NYC, with regular travel to our New Orleans, LA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, concept, and direct top quality visual design for photography, video, digital content, social, and cross-channel collaborations
  • Partner with the VP of Brand Marketing to set and execute KREWE’s creative strategy
  • Manage, inspire and develop a creative team (designers, photographers, photo editors, copywriter)
  • Set our visual & creative standards as a brand and meticulously oversee their execution across all channels and outputs
  • Produce work that hits deadlines, elevates our brand presence, and positions our channels to meet revenue targets
  • Partner with team Project Manager to create schedules and processes that position the creative team to meet deadlines & deliverables with success
  • Present creative concepts to KREWE’s Founder & Creative Director
  • Drive creative excellence on every piece of work, big or small

Qualifications

  • A degree in Visual, Web, Photographyor Graphic Design and/or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of digital design experience, preferably in retail brands
  • Portfolio of creative work showcasing exceptional creative and conceptual ideas
  • Strong leadership skills with exceptional communication
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Expertise in typography, photography, and videography
  • Deep knowledge and expertise of best practices across all media types
  • Idea-first creative approach with the ability to apply a strategic, results-oriented lens to creative
  • Knowledge of all social channels
  • Knowledge of After Effects is a plus
  • Knowledge of responsive design is a plus
  • A demonstrated record of bringing new, innovative ideas to fruition
  • Ability to work quickly while juggling and prioritizing multiple competing tasks
  • A true team player, willing to roll up their sleeves to get a job done
  • Meticulous attention to detail and works well within tight deadlines
  • Ability to provide feedback, coaching and guidance to enhance others’ skill development, including mentorships
  • Ability to take on stretch into leading project work

Salary range: $140-150,000
