Art Director

Aimé Leon Dore is looking for an Art Director to join our team in New York, New York, reporting directly to Chief Customer Officer . The ideal candidate is an experienced creative with a passion for fashion, design, and art. This position works autonomously to complete daily assignments that adhere to brand identity standards and meet all internal and external deadlines. They must have exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to multitask and stay on top of multiple projects. The Art Director will be responsible for developing and executing the creative vision through marketing touchpoints, as well as inspiring and leading a team of creatives to reach their full potential. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute the marketing creative ideation process, contributing fresh ideas and creative solutions to deliver compelling messaging.
• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and create concepts that align with our brand's vision and values.
• Support the marketing team by ensuring deliverables are strategically aligned with objectives.
• Develop mood boards, storyboards, and visual presentations to communicate campaign concepts and creative decision-making.
• Deliver clear direction to and collaborate with the Production team in the preparation and organization of photoshoots, effectively briefing them on the direction to stay on-time and in-budget; collaborate on sourcing props, clothing, and accessories as well as location scouting, casting, photographer identification, etc.
• Oversee creative direction and guidance during content capture, ensuring that all components and aesthetics align with campaign concepts.
• Work closely with photographers, models, and stylists to achieve the desired visual outcomes.
• Oversee post-production processes, providing retouching notes and video editing feedback.
• Lead the selection and editing of brand imagery to maintain consistency and quality
• Support the continuous evolution of standards including ecomm studio content, design system, brand voice, and other projects to drive the brand forward.
• Research and stay up-to-date with current trends, ensuring our brand remains on the cutting edge of men's fashion and lifestyle.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines and budget requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience art directing within the Fashion industry.
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) (additional motion software a plus).
• Familiarity with Keynote, Google Docs and Monday.com a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and directors, and capable of independently managing projects.
• Keen eye for detail is essential.
• Strong aesthetic & creative thinking skills with the ability to balance adherence to brand standards with the introduction of new ideas.
• Positive disposition with collaborative work ethic.
• Excellent knowledge of fashion trends and the ability to translate them into creative campaigns.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creative excellence.
• Previous experience in art direction or styling is a plus.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000
