Position Overview:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving Custom Brands Group profitable revenue and market share growth in the Tennessee/Louisiana/Arkansas market. You will be responsible for meeting and/or exceeding sales targets for all Custom Brands Group products, programs, and services to window fashion dealers, designers and small design centers. This role reports to the Zone Manager.
This role is considered remote and open to individuals who would be based in Memphis, TN; Baton Rouge, LA; New Orleans, LA or Little Rock, AR
What you'll do
Providing exceptional sales of Custom Brands Group products within the assigned region.
Developing sales strategies to generate new business, manage existing accounts and develop sales leads.
Building and maintaining solid relationships with customers in the assigned region.
Providing training to customers on CBG products and selling techniques.
Handling customer complaints with tact and understanding, striving to maintain customer loyalty and strong partnerships.
Submit required work plans, sales reports and expense reports within the required timeline.
Stay abreast of customer, market trends and competitors’ activities.
Report all significant developments to your Zone Manager and provide feedback to managers in relevant areas.
Attend and participate as directed in company, customer, or industry trades shows, sales meetings, or other events.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Who you are
3+ years Outside Sales and business development experience in the consumer goods industry, preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Business or related field
Window treatment industry experience and product knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory.
Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance is required.
Required travel Requirement: 70% including overnight travel.
Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
Must be physically able to perform physical duties associated with this position -lifting up to 50lbs (sample books and maintain displays of window treatment products), driving long distances etc.
Excellent Customer interface and strong presentation skills
Excellent organizational and follow up skills.
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally.
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite
Proficient experience with CRM applications, email, internet navigation

Annual base salary range: $50,000.00- $60,000.00
