Our Opportunity: The Restaurant Interior Designer is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of restaurant design and image for the Popeyes Brand in North America. The Designer will be responsible for ensuring Popeyes brand standards are being upheld in every new and current Popeyes store in North America. The candidate will work both directly and indirectly with multiple other functions inside and outside of the development team, including construction; real estate; operations; technology; marketing; finance and 3rd party vendors. They will also handle vendor coordination, 3D renderings and guidelines.

Roles And Responsibilities
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to develop new design concepts for Popeyes and produce and present high-quality 3D renderings to effectively share design intent.
- Responsible for developing new design standards guidelines to aid consultants in the construction and execution of new stores.
- Communicates and clarifies brand standards around image, design and equipment to architects, franchisees, developers, and other external parties.
- Responsible for reading and giving comments on architecture, engineering (including kitchen layout and equipment) and construction plans.
- Handles the revision of site plans, exterior elevations, kitchen equipment floor plans and décor packages as provided by franchisee and their teams.
- Responsible for independently creating restaurant sketches, renderings, guidelines and managing work from concept to detailed design stages.
- Bachelor’s degree in the fields of Architecture, Interior Design, and/or Construction from a recognized educational institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with successful retail (QSR preferred) design field & technical and project management experience in the fields of architectural design and/or interior design. Value Engineering experience is a plus.
- Software’s requirements: Adobe Suites Family, SketchUp, Enscape, AutoCAD. Excellent Enscape and SketchUp skills.
- Demonstrated direct experience creating interior and architectural design concepts for a range of project sizes and varying complexity levels.
- Experience designing for intuitive and engaging guest interactions across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Highly organized and self-driven creative leader that is capable of influencing teams beyond individual projects.
- Ability to read and draw a full set of architectural plans.
- Demonstrates effective communication, and strong organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with brand leadership, franchisees, vendors, and other parties.
- Honesty, high integrity, personal accountability, and a passion for the success of the brand and the team.
- The ideal candidate should possess a discerning eye for aesthetics, a strong grasp of proportions, and an innate understanding of what constitutes exemplary design.
