Architectural Designer

Position: Architectural Designer/Draftsman

Roles and Responsibilities

Design Phase

• Gather 'As Built' measurements upon contract signing.
• Conduct feasibility studies and participate in initial budgeting
• Develop design plans in 2D with inputs from the Interior Designer and Builder.
• Collaborate with Sales in Presenting initial designs in 3D to clients 
• Revise designs as necessary and manage client communications for approvals.
• Collaborate on budget creation with Sales or Estimator.
• Coordinate with engineers, sub-specialists, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits.

Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Documents Phase & Budget Integration

• Create comprehensive drawings for estimations and construction, including schedules and plans for windows/doors, MEP, foundations, and more.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate and updated for build-out phase.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with Interior Designers to finalize interior details and help facilitate client decisions.

Build Phase

• Work closely with the Operations Manager, attending critical path site visits and pre-construction meetings.
• Respond to RFIs from the field team with visual exhibits and drawing updates.
• Manage ongoing client communications to ensure decisions are finalized and integrated seamlessly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in residential design, preferably in a design/build setting.
• Architectural Degree or Certification preferred.
• Proficient in relevant drafting software. At this time Spaces Renewed used the Chief Architect drawing platform
• Strong understanding of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 to $175,000.00 per year, based on experience.
