Architectural Designer / Drafter: We are looking for a creative individual to join our team as an Architectural Designer/Drafter in our Business Development Department. The responsibilities of the Architectural Designer include meeting with clients, creating drawings, designs, and layouts, and complying with industry regulations. The successful Architectural Designer/Drafter will need excellent technical skills and be proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software. Architectural Designer / Drafter Responsibilities: Meeting with clients to discuss the design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs. Consult with engineers, architects, or other designers to understand the design concept. Gathering the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts. Prepare and revise blueprints, drawings, and other drafting documents. Identify and resolve potential design problems or inconsistencies. Ensure that all drawings and specifications meet required standards and codes; Document and archive completed design files. Present and explain design drafts to engineers or architects. Providing clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends. Using CAD software and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural designs for management and client approval. Reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management and clients. Perform field visits to measure, document, or verify installed systems against design specifications. Interacting with other Architects and Designers to exchange ideas and provide support. Ensuring all vital information and documentation is recorded and maintained. Conducting research and attending workshops and conferences to remain up to date with the latest design trends. Assist in design solutions and 3D renderings Architectural Designer / Drafter Requirements: Associates or bachelor’s degree in architecture, drafting or similar field. 5 Years’ Experience. A portfolio of completed designs. Excellent technical skills, particularly with CAD software. 3D Modeling in SketchUp & Luminaire. Strong creative design and time management skills. Good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Good math’s skills. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to visually communicate concepts.
