This is a full remote position

Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate with strong attention to detail and critical problem-solving skills to join our collections team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience with commercial collections, resolving billing and order issues and building strong relationships with customers to ensure that payment deadlines are met and cash is collected timely.

Responsibilities

AR Administration

  • Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions
  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
  • Completing new/existing customer onboarding and documentation requests
  • Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable

Collections

  • Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files, and contacts delinquent accountholders to request payment
  • Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Collections Manager and other staff

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, skills, and qualifications:

  • One to three years of related experience
  • Solid understanding of basic principles of the cash collections cycle
  • Strong mathematical skills with proficiency in Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborates with colleagues and has great interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with key customer contacts
  • Proficiency with Google Drive and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite and Salesforce a plus

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree a plus but not required

Salary: $24.00 per hour
