Applications Engineer

What you'll do:

Provide design, modeling, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle for renewable energy projects from initial customer solution designs to successful implementation and operation.

Model and optimize engineering designs, sizing equipment and modeling to meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with internal and external SMEs to ensure innovative customer-centric solutions can be seamlessly delivered.

Perform root cause analysis and provide technical support for operational systems and equipment.

Who you are:

• BSEE with a passion for power systems and renewable energy or equivalent experience. PE a plus
• 5+ years of relevant experience in power generation. Distributed generation, isochronous grids a plus
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, codes, and standards
• Knowledge on Interconnection Application requirement in multiple ISOs
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
• Collaborative and able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
• A lifelong learner committed to staying ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape
  
  
  

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience working in the renewables and environment industry, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions that accelerate the energy transition
• Familiarity of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency measures
• Experience with energy generation technologies including one or more of the following: solar, wind, battery storage, geothermal, biomass, fuel cells, EV charging
• Working autonomously on deadline-driven projects, your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will ensure on-time delivery to stakeholders
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Field experience commissioning distributed generation equipment a plus
