Application Support Analyst

The Application Support Analyst's role is responsible for resolving application and system issues related to multiple applications.
The position requires that the individual possesses insurance business, accounting, or technical IT knowledge.
Must be able to communicate with end users and understand issues related to end user applications and insurance workflows.

Responsibilities
Manage incoming tickets related to business applications; prioritize and troubleshoot system problems and issues; maintain help desk knowledge base and deliver end-user satisfaction by providing excellent customer service.
Partner with a team of geographically distributed developers, business leaders, and functional users on multiple initiatives.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal customers, and external vendors.
Be a liaison between IT and the business team and actively participate in project prioritization and business adoption.
Attend meetings with internal customers and/or outside vendors to jointly determine and
prioritize needs.
Train other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
Assist in system upgrades, installations, and testing of the applications in collaboration with vendors and implementation partners.
Analyze, modify, maintain, update, and provide quality assurance according to software
specifications, IT protocols, and established business rules.
Provide support for critical situations (in conjunction with others).
Ensure environments (Dev, Test, Training) are setup correctly, are ready for team access per schedule, and are administered efficiently throughout the project phases.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures; support internal/external audits.
Prepare a variety of written materials (detailed remediation steps, notices, reminders, technical standards, security policies, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information.
See that all reported issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
Stay up to date on security risks and ensure corporate security
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Insurance Operations/Accounting knowledge or Insurance IT Support.
Administrative/Configuration knowledge of Epic and/or Epic Download Configuration
Ability to test, review, and analyze data between systems.
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office.
Ability to develop and adhere to project timelines and to work under deadlines.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Effective analytical/problem solving and research skills.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and people skills.
Experience working within ServiceNow
3-12 Years of Insurance Operations/Accounting knowledge or Insurance IT Support
Working knowledge of insurance applications (i.e. Epic, BenefitPoint, and other insurance business applications).
