Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.
Responsibilities:
Full-stack application development including requirements/story refinement, development, bug fixes, unit testing, functional verification, peer reviewing, demonstrating to partners, continuous integration and deployment, testing and production support, ancillary functions like reporting and data processing within a scrum or Kanban team
Requirements:
Hands on experience designing, developing, deploying, and managing container-based applications within a large business environment
5+ years of maintainable application design and development in Java technologies for corporate environments
3+ years of working with application frameworks, design patterns, and testing frameworks
Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Batch or Quartz on JBoss, Spring Boot
Eclipse or IntelliJ IDE, Maven, JUnit
Multiple system integration protocol exposure: especially SOAP or RESTful web services, file exchange, MQ/JMS messaging
Hibernate and SQL for complex queries and stored procedures
Webapp UI development experience: HTML5, Javascript, CSS
Solid communication skills and ability to converse with analysts, testers, and others responsible for system integration interfaces
Collaborates well with other developers on best practices & larger work efforts

Desired Skills:
Financial services experience, particularly consumer banking related to core account and customer data systems, including transaction balancing, posting, and reconciliation
Scrum team participation and experience completing sprint commitments
Angular or other SPA-enabled JavaScript frameworks for web UI development
Comfort with command line interfaces especially Linux
Familiarity with Splunk for log file aggregation
Experience with cloud-native development
