AP Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Alexandria, VA. Duties Include:

• Accounts Payable Specialist will review/submit for coding and approval non-PO and PO invoices in Oracle
• Process/review new vendors, suppliers
• Process/review new volunteer suppliers from Smartsheet to Oracle
• Respond to emails timely including the AP mailbox
• As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will upload invoices for Honoraria, Grants and Awards
• Process payment returns and rejections timely
• Review outstanding checks, contact vendors, suppliers to determine how to clear them
  
  

Requirements

• 2-5 years of Accounts Payable experience
• Experience performing full-function accounts payable duties
• Experience in calculating, posting, and managing financial records accurately
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and accounts payable principles, including general ledger coding
• Understand the importance of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
