Position Overview

Avid Marketing Group is seeking a Analytics and Insights Manager with experience in CPG/FMCG Shopper Marketing and syndicated data. Ideal candidates will have the ability to transform raw data into actionable insights and presentations. It’s key to not only report on “what” happened, but “why” it happened.

Reports to: Sr. Dir, Analytics

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting program-specific performance across traditional shopper tactics (National, media, retailer media, trade offers, etc.) and correlating performance to syndicated data lift and other KPIs
  • Reporting across multiple programs, analyzing what is working and what needs to be optimized
  • Making program/tactic recommendations in conjunction with budget recommendations based on client strategy. Updating clients with cadenced deliverables
  • Work in a collaborative environment, cross-functional setting and responsible for explaining calculations to those who are not “number people”

Qualifications

Must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in CPG data analytics, which could include Shopper Insights, Category Management, RGM, Trade, or Sales support roles
  • Deep understanding of CPG industry and FDMC retailers
  • Experience analyzing Retail Media and Syndicated Data
  • Experience with pulling, extracting, and analyzing syndicated POS data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen)
  • Expert in Excel and PowerPoint, including regular use of pivot tables and formulas (vlookup, if/then, sumif, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret large quantities of data from multiple sources and summarize into key insights /learnings
  • A passion for storytelling based on data

Not required, but nice to have”

  • Panel Data knowledge
  • Excel tool building experience
  • Experience with BI tools
  • Previous work in an agency setting

Candidates who progress to the final interview phase will be asked to share samples of their work in addition to completing a brief analytics assessment.
