Analytical Chemist

R&D Partners is seeking to hire an Analytical Chemist in Mountain View, CA.

Your main responsibilities as an Analytical Chemist:

• An experienced Analytical Chemist with proven skills to design, develop, validate and verify analytical methods for the testing of Raw Materials, Finished Products, Stability and Process Validation.

What we are looking for in an Analytical Chemist:

• BS/MS with 10 years laboratory experience in method development, validation, verification, and transfer activities for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products; based on USP,FDA, and ICH guidelines. FDA, PMA and global regulatory authority experience with drug device combination products a plus.
• Analysis of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, Excipients, and Finished Drug Product according to company established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices(GMP’s), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP’s), FDA/OSHA regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Writing and executing protocols, reports, and test methods related to raw material and finished product testing.
• Proven ability to work independently, as well as within a team.
• Proficiency in operating routine laboratory equipment and experience with the following laboratory instrumentation/equipment related to method development:
• High Performance/Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography HPLC/UPLC
• Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC)
• Gas Chromatography (GC)• Experience with the following laboratory instrumentation/equipment:
• FT-IR Spectrophotometer
• Modulated Differential Scanning Calorimeter (MDSC)
• Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
• Raman Microscopy
• Effective communication skills
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to organize projects and complete timely
• Ability to execute method transfers from R&D to Production, as well as site transfers of drug substance and drug product

Pay Scale:

• $90,000 – $120,000 (Dependent on Experience)
