Algorithmic Trader- HFT

A world-leading trading firm is seeking an Algorithmic Trader as part of their elite index vol trading team in options market making, which is on a rapid expansion due to incredible performance.

Reporting to the Head of Trading, lead a team of three quants working on various options market making strategies. Design algorithms, generate alpha, manage risk, execute trades systematically, and drive PnL with the team. This role offers an outstanding opportunity in leadership, strategy development and risk management in a team trading environment where collaboration and continuous improvement are greatly rewarded.

Responsibilities:

• Build on existing research and trading experience to drive the profitability of a highly electronic trading operation.
• Generate alpha, manage risk, execute trades, and drive PnL with an excellent team.
• Conduct research and experiments to improve existing trading strategies and deploy new strategies that monetize opportunities in a constantly evolving market environment.
• Build data-based tools and workflows to further systematize our approach to trading and risk management.

Skills Required:

• Experience as a quantitative trader working on option strategies
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Familiarity with market microstructure
• Strong leadership and management skills
• PhD/ Masters is preferred in a highly analytical or technical field: Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, Physics, etc.
