Position Overview: The Airport Store Manager is crucial in managing the daily operations of our Portland International Airport location. This role ensures a positive, productive, and profitable work environment by supporting and implementing company objectives that align with strategic goals. The position oversees both kitchen and retail operations, embodying Blue Star Donuts’ commitment to quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Culture:
    • Oversee all aspects of store operations, maintaining efficient and autonomous operations.
    • Train and coach staff according to Blue Star standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
    • Maintain effective communication with management and staff, ensuring operational goals are met and exceeded. Keeping everyone informed about updates and goals.
    • Develop staffing strategies, manage schedules, and oversee training and performance management to build a high-performing team while adhering to labor budgets.
    • Conduct store audits, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate maintenance and repairs.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot all platforms and systems, including internet, phones, POS system, and cameras.
  • Sales Objectives:
    • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Train and motivate staff to meet and exceed sales goals, providing ongoing support and coaching to maximize performance.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to develop sales forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Production:
    • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of production frying and finishing
    • Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in donut production.
  • Retail:
    • Ensure high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
    • Demonstrate strong understanding of hospitality and customer service excellence.
    • Master all opening, closing, and general workflows.
    • Demonstrate strong cash handling skills and ensure accuracy in transactions.
  • Policy & Compliance:
    • Enforce company policies equally, ensuring all staff are upholding Blue Star protocols and administering disciplinary action as needed.
    • A love for donuts!
    • Alignment with Blue Star’s core values.
    • Current Oregon food handlers, OLCC Server Permit, and ServSafe certifications.
    • Working cell phone, laptop, and Gmail account.
    • Completion of Blue Star Training Programs.
    • Flexible availability, with availability to work across all operation hours, including weekends and company blackout dates.
    • including early mornings, weekends, and company blackout dates.
    • Trustworthy with confidential information.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs.
    • Must be able to pass a federal background check for PDX Airport Badging and obtain a PDX Airport badge.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass company Driver Training
    • 1-2 years of kitchen experience.
    • 2+ years of leadership experience
    • Preferred: Experience utilizing Google Workspace, Slack, and Paycom.

Pay: Salary - $60,000- $65.000
