Air Traffic Control Specialist

Veracity Engineering is looking for a skilled Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialist Level 4. The contractor must identify air traffic service needs and requirements during FAA concept development, evaluation of procedures and airspace changes, researching operational feasibility, evaluating operational performance and suitability, and performing safety analyses. The successful candidate will work with limited supervision as part of a contractor support team within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) with a variety of Systems Engineering and Integration, Implementation, and Operational Planning and Analysis tasks


This support includes coordinating support for required technical interchange meetings and various program reviews and coordinating work group activities for Air Traffic Organization (ATO) program offices


Responsibilities:

Identify air traffic service needs and requirements during ConOps review, and evaluation of operational procedures and requirements for new and emerging technologies and concepts. Provide recommendations for changes to improve operation efficiency, safety, and capacity.

  • Support the exploration and evaluation of operational performance for issues related to daily NAS operations including operational usage analyses, data analyses, problem determination and recommended resolution, collection and generation of operational performance metrics, and measurement of the effectiveness of ATC processes, procedures, decision support tools and technology.

  • Assist in evaluating legacy and NextGen ATC processes, procedures, training materials, decision support tools, and other operational improvement initiatives; develop, review, and analyze proposed changes; and provide operational support in tactical deployment of procedures and policies.

  • Assist in coordinating activities with air traffic airspace and procedures, requirements, security, and operations personnel.

  • Research and assess procedures and requirements related to near-term and long- term solutions that advance operational capabilities and improve capacity, safety and efficiency of the NAS using emerging technology or concepts.


  • Requirements:

    • Candidate must have active, full performance level (FPL, ATC experience in any of the following: Terminal, Enroute, Oceanic, Traffic Flow Management, or Flight Service Station.
    • 6-10 years of relevant experience.
    • No college degree required.
    • Equivalent experience in the U.S. Military or international control environment is acceptable.
